Like many beauty bloggers, I have a love for mini products. Really, how can you not love mini products? they’re tiny, adorable and a great way to test out a product before committing to a full sized product. Today, I thought I would share some mini reviews for some of the minis I’ve been using recently. All of these products were either point perks from Sephora, or gift with purchases.
Kat Von D Tattoo Liner: I’m still not great at lining my eyes using a liquid liner, however this liner from Kat Von D does make it easier. It’s got a super fine nib, that makes lining idiot proof, even for the likes of me! I also really like that it doesn’t smudge, at all. Once it’s dry, it’s not moving until you take it off. *Would I purchase the full size version?: Yes
Ole Henriksen Pure Truth Melting Cleanser: There was a lot of love given to this cleanser when it was first released, (including from the lovely Caroline Hirons, whose skincare recommendations have never steered me wrong!). It’s a cleanser that starts out as a gel consistency, which then turns into an oil, and then to a milky consistency when you add water. I love both oil cleansers, and melting cleansers, but I wasn’t a fan of this one. It almost felt to dry, so it never really got as oily as I would have liked it to. *Would I purchase the full size version?: No
Urban Decay Perversion Mascara: I’m constantly trying to find a mascara that won’t smudge, so mini mascaras are my friend! This Urban Decay mascara is actually quite nice, and very black. It applies nicely, and isn’t to wet or clumpy. It still smudges slightly on me, but doesn’t give me racoon eyes, which is a win in my book. *Would I purchase the full size version?: Yes, already did!
Clarins Instant Light Complexion Illuminating Base in Rose: I previously used the old version of this illuminating base, and while I liked it, I was never really blown away. The same can be said for this new version. It’s a pink tinted cream, which does brighten up my skin slightly, but doesn’t wow me. There are definitely other illuminating bases, which have a more noticeable impact. *Would I purchase the full size version?: No
Lorac Behind the Scenes Eye Primer: I find eye shadow primers are really hit and miss. Personally, I preferred to use a cream eye shadow as a base, instead of a traditional primer. This primer however, has made me reconsider that preference. It’s a creamy primer, that dries quickly and really extends the wear time of any eyeshadow. It’s definitely the best eye shadow primer I’ve tried. *Would I purchase the full size version?: Yes
Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer: This is another product that has been raved about for years, but I have only now got around to trying it. This primer is definitely worth the hype, it goes on so smoothly and seems to perfect the skin. While at the same, extending the staying power of every foundation I’ve used it with. *Would I purchase the full size version?: Yes, already did!
So there you have it! Some mini reviews for mini products!
