Bite Beauty Lip Love Kit

Bite Beauty Lip Love Kit

Sephora is literally teaming with Christmas gift sets at the moment, all of which I am desperately trying to avoid buying. I really dislike that Christmas sets come out in October, because you really have to buy them now, because they sell out so quickly. For the most part, I have successfully avoided buying any of the Christmas sets, with the exception of this Bite Beauty Lip Love kit. I’ve had my eye on all of the products included in the kit, but don’t own any of them, so I caved in and picked it up.

The Bite Beauty Lip Love Kit includes a full size of the Bite BB for Lips in the shade Tawny, a mini Agave Lip Mask, a mini Cherry Lip Scrub and two of the Lush Lip Wipes for $40.00 CDN. Considering the BB for Lips sells for $28, I would say this isn’t a bad deal value wise.

I’ve played with all of the products in the kit, with the exception of the lip wipes, and I’m overall super impressed. They’re all lovely products, the BB for Lips is a great balm, with a sheer red tint that has become a staple in my purse. The Cherry Lip Scrub smells like cherry candy, and is a great lip exfoliant.

Finally, the much raved about Agave Lip Mask, is it worth the hype? It feels like a thick lip balm, smells delicious and while it’s quite hydrating, it doesn’t last through the night the same way the Nuxe Reve de Miel does. However, I suspect this will become my go-to daytime lip balm during the winter months, because it is incredibly hydrating and feels lovely on the lips.

Overall, if you’re looking to try some of Bite Beauty much raved about lip treatments, this is definitely a great set to pick up!

So there you have it, my thoughts on the Bite Beauty Lip Love kit.

Have you tried any of these products?

Thanks for stopping by!

My Favourite Lip Care Duo

Today, I thought I would share with you my favourite lip care duo: the Nuxe Reve de Miel and the Fresh Sugar Lip Polish. The combination of these two products gives me such smooth and hydrated lips. It’s like what the combination of a face scrub and moisturizer does for your face. I’ve been using lip balm for as long as I can remember, but it’s only recently that I started to use a lip scrub. I’ve found using a scrub makes such a huge difference to how lipsticks and stains look on my lips.

I’ve previously written about my love for the Nuxe Reve de Miel (you can read the blog post here), and it remains my favourite lip balm. One pot lasted me almost 8 months, and I haven’t found another lip balm that does as a good a job at keeping my lips hydrated overnight.

The Fresh Sugar Lip Polish is a great lip scrub. It’s got little pieces of sugar (hence the name), which exfoliate and a mixture of oils and shea butter that hydrates the lips. It’s similar to the the Lush Lip Scrub, however I like this one better because I find the pieces of sugar are smaller and don’t feel as rough on the skin.

While I use the Nuxe Reve de Miel every night, I tend to use the combination of the two products 2-3 times a week, usually at the same time that I’m doing a face mask. I start with the Sugar Lip Polish, and use a tiny bit all over my lips and then remove the excess with a face cloth. I then layer the lip balm onto my lips and go to bed. The newly exfoliated skin on my lips, absorbs all the moisture from the lip balm and when I wake up, they’re smooth and hydrated.

So there you have it, my favourite lip care duo that gives me smooth and hydrated lips. Perfect for when I want to wear a matte lipstick and have it look great on my lips.
