Forever Repurchase – Kiehl’s Edition

Forever Repurchase - Kiehl's

I’ve had a long time love affair with Kiehl’s, they were one of the first high end skincare brands I tried, and I’ve been addicted ever since. Today, I thought I would share with you my Forever Repurchase – Kiehl’s Edition. I was inspired to write this post when I recently ran out of all three of these products at the same time, and I realized that I was probably heading into my 4th or 5th repurchase of all of these. Considering how much of a skincare nerd I am, and how many different products I try, that truly shows how much I love them.

Skin Rescuer – Described as a stress minimizing daily hydrator, which reduces the look of skin fatigue and redness due to dry skin. I use this as a serum under my moisturizer in the morning, and it’s a step that I won’t ever skip. Regardless of what moisturizer ends up going on top, I will always use this first. My skin gets quite red from being so dehydrated, and this helps to keep the redness at bay. It also feels super soothing, and provides one more layer of moisture and protection for my skin. I know some people with more normal to oily skin only use this to moisturizer, which would be amazing, however my skin is just to dehydrated for that. If your skin is at all temperamental, I definitely recommend giving this a try. I wrote a whole post about it here.

Midnight Recovery Concentrate – As far as Kiehl’s skincare goes, this is probably the most raved about product and it’s definitely well deserved. It’s happiness in a bottle for your skin. I use this in the evening religiously, and mix it with my Clarins Blue Orchid Oil (you can read my post about this combo here). It’s just so wonderful on the skin, I cannot say enough good things about it. For me, I find that it makes my skin look happy and glowing in the morning, and really helps to improve the overall look of my skin.

Patchouli & Fresh Rose Aromatic Mist – Kiehl’s makes some lovely scents, which I feel definitely don’t get the same kind of love as their skincare, however for me they are all such lovely and long lasting scents. My favourite is definitely the Patchouli & Fresh Rose scent, it has a rosy floral scent and yet the patchouli adds a lovely musky component that isn’t over powering. This is the scent I go for when I want something lovely and subtle, plus it works well through the year. What amazes me the most about Kiehl’s perfumes is how long they last on me, a couple sprays will have me smelling amazing all day.

So there you have it! The Kiehl’s products that I will forever repurchase!

Have you tried and loved any of these products?

Another Empties Post

Empties#2

It’s time for another empties post! For me, empties are a big deal because I usually only use up products that I like. I have a really hard time finishing a product if I don’t like it (though I’m trying to be better and use up my products). If you’re a regular here, you’ll recognize a lot of these products as I’ve likely raved about them in the past. So let’s go ahead and take a peek through my trash :)

GlamGlow Mask (mini size) – Bought this at Sephora, I was really intrigued by the Glam Glow mask, but was not willing to spend the $70 for a full size. I like this mask, it definitely clears out my pores and leaves my skin looking clear and bright. I don’t think I would buy the full size version, but would by this one again. I only use it on my T-zone, so I was able to get 10 uses out of it.

Lush Eau de Roma Water – This toner has become a skincare staple, I purchased this small bottle initially, but have since purchased the larger one. Such a great toner, leaves the skin feeling hydrated and refreshed.

Kiehl’s Skin Rescue – Another skincare staple, which I have already repurchased. It does wonders for the redness in my skin, and keeps my dehydrated skin happy. It’s on the pricer side, but using it once a day this bottle lasted me a good 8 months.

Clarins Blue Orchid Oil – Another skincare staple (are we starting to see a trend?). Love this oil, I have raved about it repeatedly. You can read the raves here and here. I’ve already purchased a replacement.

Avene Eau Thermale – Yes, it’s water in can :P Say what you will, but there’s just something so soothing about it, I spray it on right before using my face oil in the evening and it helps everything absorb nicely in my skin. So I will be repurchasing it, likely when it’s on sale.

Urban Decay B6 Vitamin Infused Complexion Prep Spray – Another mini I picked up from Sephora. I only got this about a month ago, and have used it non stop since. I use it as both a primer, and to set my makeup. It’s quickly become a favourite, and I will definitely be purchasing the full size.

Clarins Gentle Exfoliator – I mentioned this in my evening skincare routine (read it here), it’s a gentle chemical exfoliant that works wonders on my skin. I’ve already repurchased this.

Lavanila The Healthy Deodorant (mini) – Another mini from the sneaky checkout aisle at Sephora. During the week I use a Kiehl’s antiperspirant, but on the weekend I like to use something without the chemicals, to give my skin a break. I really liked this deodorant, but it dried out before I was able to use it all.

Lush Ultrabland – I actually mentioned this in my first empties post. It’s such a great and gentle makeup remover that I will forever be repurchasing.

Nuxe Rieve de Miel – I love this lip balm and will forever repurchase it. I use it at night before I go to bed, and it keeps my lips hydrated all night. It also lasts forever, I bought this 8 months ago, used it every night and just ran out. If you haven’t tried this lip balm, you definitely should. You can read my post about it here.

Maybelline The Falsies Mascara - This was a good mascara, but I’ve started to notice that even the waterproof Maybelline mascaras are starting to smudge on me and this one was no different. If I wasn’t careful, I ended up with serious racoon eyes by the end of the day. Won’t be repurchasing, to many other mascaras to try.

L’Oreal Telescopic Mascara – I love L’Oreal waterproof mascaras. They’re one of the few drugstore waterproof mascaras that don’t smudge on me. Of all their mascaras, the L’Oreal Telescopic is by far my favourite. It’s gives great definition and doesn’t clump. Will definitely purchase this again in the future.

There you have it! A peek at all the products that I’ve used up recently. Have you tried any of these products?
