Palmer’s Skin Therapy Oil

Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil

Today we are talking about facial oils (again…big shock!). I’m a huge fan of oils, and since I’ve started using them, I’ve noticed a huge difference in my skin. So I was super jazzed to receive a bottle of the Palmer’s Skin Therapy Oil to test out. It’s the first drugstore oil I’ve tried, as until recently facial oils have been limited to the higher end skincare brands.

The Palmer’s Skin Therapy Oil contains a blend of Pure Cocoa Butter and Vitamin E, plus a combination of 10 natural oils, including Rosehip, Coconut and Sweet Almond Oils, along with Retinol and Vitamin C. I like that it has more than just hydrating ingredients, you get a nice mix of hydration from the oils, and skincare treatment from the Retinol and Vitamin C.

It’s quite a dry oil and I don’t find it as hydrating as some of the other oils I use in the evening. If you have more normal to oily skin, this would be a great evening oil to use. Personally, this oil is perfect for me to use in the morning, it absorbs quickly into my skin and doesn’t leave my skin feeling oily and wears great under my makeup. I’ve really enjoyed having the additional boost of moisture on my skin in the morning, especially since it’s been so cold here!

If you’re looking for a new facial oil, I would definitely recommend checking out the Palmer’s Skin Therapy Oil. It’s especially good if you’re looking to start using oils, but don’t know where to begin.

The Palmer’s Skin Therapy Oil retails for $9.99 CDN and is available at Walmart.

Have you tried the Palmer’s Skin Therapy Oil?

Mini Reviews – Skincare Minis

Mini Skincare Review

Today’s post is all about mini skincare products. I think mini products are great to trial a product, and that’s especially true of skincare minis. For a full-size version, all three of these products are quite expensive, so these minis are great to sample before committing.

Omorovicza Thermal Cleansing Balm – I’m just going to put it out there, this is the best cleansing balm I’ve ever tried! It’s super effective at removing makeup, and leaves the skin clean and glowy looking. It somehow manages to be both deep cleaning and hydrating. I’m in love. I’ve actually almost completely finished this mini size, so I’ve had to ration it until my order for the full size arrives. This has become my new holy grail cleansing balm.

GlamGlow Thirstymud Hydrating Treatment – I love a good hydrating treatment, so when I saw this mini version of the Thirstymud Hydrating Treatment in the minis section of Sephora (that section is my weakness…) I picked it up to give it a try. First off, if you don’t like the smell of coconuts, this mask is definitely not for you, it has a strong coconut smell. Beyond on the smell, it’s a good basic hydrating mask. I don’t think I would buy the full size because there are tons of others that can do the same thing, at a lower price point.

Neal’s Yard Wild Rose Beauty Balm – This beauty balm is raved about by tons of British beauty bloggers, so I wanted to try it out and see if it was worth the hype. It’s a thick balm that turns into an oil once it’s warmed up and has a strong medicinal smell. It’s not as good at removing makeup as the Omorovicza cleansing balm, however I like to leave it for a while as a treatment and get a really deep clean. I’m still undecided if I would buy a full size, I like it as a treatment, but not sure I would get enough use out of the full size.

So there you have it, a few mini reviews for some mini products!

Have you tried any of these?
